Basant Panchami is a Hindu festival that marks the arrival of spring and is dedicated to Goddess Saraswati the deity of wisdom learning and arts. It is celebrated on the fifth day of Magha month. On this day people wear yellow clothes worship Goddess Saraswat and start new educational endeavors.
